1848


Wisconsin Conference of the Methodist Church was organized at Southport (now Kenosha)
West Bend mission served by circuit preachers, held regular services in Jackson and later in a frame schoolhouse at the corner of Fifth and Poplar

1871
Land was purchased, church was erected.  West Bend had a population of 700 and Fifth Avenue Methodist had 54 members. 
1942
With some improvements, this original structure served until the first unit of the present church was completed.
1968
Construction of the offices, Lounge, Fireside Room, enlargement of the foyer, Sunday School classrooms in the lower level, as well as enlarged kitchen and Fellowship Hall.  
Merger of the Methodist Church and the United Brethren Church uniting together to become the United Methodist Church
2006
